The Philadelphia/ Tri-State Media Chapter of Alliance for Women in Media (formerly American Women in Radio)
The Alliance for Women in Media (AWM), formerly known as American Women in Radio & Television, Philadelphia/ Tri-State Chapter provides advocacy, educational programs, networking opportunities, and career development services to members in the electronic media industry.
By uniting to help each other, our goal in the Philadelphia/ Tri-State area has been able to make the local media climate more welcoming and effective for women in the industry.
AWM/AWRT has historically provided a voice for women in media and allied fields, and currently through local and national efforts, we strive to:
- Work to improve the quality of electronic media;
- Promote the entry, development, and advancement of women in the electronic media and allied fields;
- Serve as a medium of communication and idea exchange; and

Respond actively and appropriately to community concerns
